OKX announced its standalone OKX Money app on October 6, starting in selected markets. The announcement describes stablecoin balances and virtual and physical cards. This is overseas product news; a Japan launch has not been verified. Official announcement

What the headline offers mean

The product page advertises up to 10% APY on USDG, up to 10% cashback on eligible purchases, and spending at Mastercard merchants. These are conditional maximums, not universal base rates. OKX Money

OKX says qualifying USDG balances require no staking or lockup. For purchases in another currency, it advertises zero FX fees and no conversion markup. Availability, rates and features vary by region and eligibility. The announcement also warns that digital assets are volatile and uninsured. Official announcement

We could not establish universal balance limits, cashback caps or exclusions from the reviewed launch pages. Do not calculate a return assuming every dollar or every purchase earns 10%. The FX statement also does not establish that issuance, annual, ATM, funding, withdrawal or third-party charges are zero.

Japan availability

Japan appears in OKX's general Restricted Locations list, referenced by clause 2.2 of its Terms of Service. Neither reviewed Money launch page confirmed registration or card issuance for residents of Japan. Do not treat this announcement as a Japanese rollout. Overseas merchant acceptance does not establish eligibility to obtain the card. Risk and Compliance Disclosure, Terms of Service

Keep the services and providers separate

OKX Web3 Wallet is self-custody software under separate terms, not a service offered by OKX Exchange. Wallet access therefore does not establish Money or card eligibility. Web3 FAQ

Mastercard does not issue cards itself. A card's network brand is not its issuer. We have not verified the regional Money contracting entity or card issuer and make no provider-specific protection claim. Mastercard FAQ

For Japan-based readers, the practical conclusion is to treat this as a product development to understand, not an available application option. Confirm residency eligibility, contracting entities, fees and reward terms before considering any future offering. Dollar denomination and a headline APY are not guarantees of principal or future returns.
