Choose Tria if broad token support and self-custody spending matter most, and if your card spend fits under its monthly caps (1,000 to 2,000 USD), where its 4.5% and 6% tiers pay more per dollar. Choose KAST if stablecoin deposits, USD cashback on larger monthly spend, and a transparent fee table matter more, or if you want idle USD earning in KAST Reserve while you spend from it. Fee comparison
| Check | Tria Card | KAST Card |
|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Users who want to spend from a broader crypto wallet and compare card rewards with Earn access. | Stablecoin users who want clear USD spending, physical card support, and cashback math. |
| Fee headline | Tria's help center states zero deposit fees and zero FX fees across card tiers, but the app should be checked before funding. | Standard $0 annual fee, Premium $1,000/year, Private $10,000/year. KAST's Crypto Cards page (checked October 1, 2026) says standard physical cards are free and premium options such as metal carry a fee shown in the app. This page previously listed a $40 shipping fee for the Standard physical card; we could not re-verify it on October 1, 2026 because KAST's fee help page did not load, so check the app. |
| Rewards | 1.5% on Lite, 4.5% on Pro and 6% on Max (renamed from Virtual, Signature and Premium on September 26, 2026), on up to 1,000, 1,000 and 2,000 USD of eligible spend a month. Lite costs 20 USD a year; Pro and Max are 109 and 250 USD in the card terms. | 1.5% USD cashback on the first $2,000 a month on Standard (max $30), 2% on the first $10,000 on Premium (max $200) and 3% on the first $40,000 on Private (max $1,200); Premium and Private add 1% and 2% in KAST Points (KAST cashback guide, checked 2026-10-13). |
| Main caution | Availability, membership pricing, limits, cashback eligibility, and token support can vary by region and app state. | Non-stablecoin deposits are auto-converted with a conversion fee that varies by token and is shown before you confirm. Non-USD card spend has a 0.5-1.75% FX fee. |
Idle-balance earn: KAST Reserve vs Tria Earn
Both apps pay something on money you are not spending yet, but the two products work differently. KAST figures were checked on 2026-10-13; Tria Earn figures are from our Tria Earn guide (app screen 2026-10-06, help centre 2026-10-01).
| Check | KAST USD Reserve | Tria Earn (USDC on ETH) |
|---|---|---|
| Rate shown | Standard 8%, Premium 10% on the first $50,000, Private 12% on the first $200,000; 8% above the cap (KAST Reserve page). | 7.18% Target APY with a +2% membership boost shown next to it (app, 2026-10-06). Tria's blog of 2026-08-07 had quoted a base 8%. |
| What the rate is | A promotional reward funded by KAST, not interest. | A target APY from a yield vault. It is not guaranteed and moves with demand. |
| How long it lasts | The app said 8% until mid-2027, then 4% (2026-10-13). The Reserve terms say through 31 December 2026 or until total reserves reach $100 million. | No fixed period; the target APY can change at any time. |
| Access | No lock-up; you can spend directly from Reserve with the card. | $10 minimum, no lock-in on the base rate. Boosted rewards need a 3-month lock-in and are paid in Tria tokens. Withdrawal: instant with a 0.2% fee (about 30 minutes, up to 628.75 USD per withdrawal) or normal, up to 96 hours with no fee. |
| Main risk | Not a bank deposit and no deposit insurance; the rate can change, including to 0%. | Smart-contract and strategy risk; a deposited token may be converted into the vault asset, so check the preview. |
For scale, our arithmetic at the displayed rates: 5,000 USD for a year earns about $400 in KAST Reserve on Standard at 8%, and about $359 in Tria Earn at the 7.18% base target APY, before Tria's withdrawal fee or boost. Neither rate is fixed for a year: KAST's terms allow the 8% to end on 31 December 2026, and Tria's target APY already moved from 8% to 7.18% between August and October 2026. See the KAST Reserve guide and the Tria Earn guide.
- Pick KAST if you hold stablecoins and want to spend them as USD with a clear fee table; if your card spend is above about 2,000 USD a month (KAST's caps run to $10,000 and $40,000, though Premium only beats the free tier from about $5,670 a month); or if you want idle USD in Reserve at 8% and to spend straight from it. KAST cashback is credited in USD at authorisation and redeemed in the app, but it can only be spent through KAST.
- Pick Tria if you want a self-custody wallet with broad token support, and your card spend fits under Tria's caps. On 1,000 USD a month, our arithmetic gives Tria Pro 45 USD a month (540 USD a year, minus the 109 USD fee in the card terms) against 15 USD a month (180 USD a year, no fee) on KAST Standard. Tria cashback is paid in USDT on Arbitrum in periodic batches, and its FX wording differs between the help centre (zero) and the card terms (up to 3% plus up to 1%), so check the app.
- Either way, check that your country is supported in each app before funding, and compare the fee you would pay for non-USD spend.

Practical scenario
Compare FX, conversion, card currency, and cashback cap before assuming the card is profitable. If a card needs a paid tier or Pro membership to unlock the reward, subtract that cost separately.
Check issuer ATM fee, FX fee, monthly threshold, and local ATM operator fee separately. Save the app transaction detail and ATM receipt after a small test.
Next action
Open the official site for the card you prefer, then check the same four rows: card issuance or membership, funding method, spending currency, and ATM. If any row is unclear, use the full review before applying.
What to save before and after using the card
- Screenshot of Tria Card and KAST Card fee rows checked on the same day.
- App screen showing region support, KYC/card status, card tier or card currency for both cards.
- Funding preview or deposit transaction hash for the funding route you actually plan to use.
- First small card transaction, cashback/reward status, and any ATM receipt if ATM use matters.
FAQ
Which card pays more cashback, Tria or KAST?
It depends on how much you spend. Inside the monthly caps Tria pays more per dollar: 1.5% on Lite (up to 1,000 USD), 4.5% on Pro (up to 1,000 USD) and 6% on Max (up to 2,000 USD). KAST pays 1.5% on the first $2,000 on the free Standard tier, 2% on the first $10,000 on Premium and 3% on the first $40,000 on Private, so it keeps paying on much larger monthly spend. Compare each tier's annual fee against your own monthly spend.
Which pays more on idle USD, KAST Reserve or Tria Earn?
At the rates we saw, KAST Reserve showed 8% on the Standard tier on 2026-10-13, and Tria Earn showed a 7.18% target APY for USDC on Ethereum on 2026-10-06. KAST's rate is a promotional reward that its terms say runs through 31 December 2026 or until total reserves reach $100 million; Tria's target APY is variable and not guaranteed. Neither is a bank deposit.
How should I use this comparison before applying?
Check each official site or app under the same assumptions: supported region, card issue fee, annual fee, FX and ATM fees, Apple Pay or Google Pay support, cashback terms, funding method, and account requirements. Then compare those terms against your actual monthly spend.
What records should I keep after choosing a card?
Save the official fee page, card tier, application screen, KYC status, funding transaction, card spend, cashback or points entry, support ticket, timestamp, currency, amount, network, TXID, and card statement details.
What should I trust if the app and this page differ?
Before applying, funding, or spending, use the latest official site or in-app screen as the source of truth. Treat this page as a decision checklist and save the live fee, reward, and availability screens.
