How to check the code during sign-up

New-user eligibility and the 45-day window
Section 5.2 of the general terms requires a new user who has not previously registered an account, registration using the referral code or link, and eligible activity within 45 days of identity-verification approval. The clock starts at KYC approval, not when you open the link or receive a physical card. Product-specific conditions can add spending requirements and other tests, so registration alone is not completion.
Your benefit is not the referrer’s commission
A commission paid to this website or another referrer is not the same as a discount or reward for you. Section 5.3 leaves amounts, caps and restrictions to product-specific pages and allows changes. The general terms do not by themselves verify a current 10% discount, fixed cash signup bonus or 14-day redemption lock. Read your membership checkout and Rewards screen for recipient, amount, currency and deadline. Never spend unnecessarily just to qualify.
KAST discount code vs referral code
KAST uses two different kinds of code, and they are entered in different places.
In short: a referral code such as JQDMB03P is the route to the 10% membership discount, while a coupon code is a separate, usually time-limited checkout code. If a site advertises a "KAST discount code", check which of the two it actually is.
Forgot the code or cannot see a reward?
Check whether your app offers Profile → Account → Referred by → + Add Code, the route KAST's help centre describes (updated 2026-09-24); if it does not, ask official support before further spending; do not open a duplicate account or refer yourself. Check attribution, KYC approval date, qualifying transactions and refunds, the reward status and any unlock date in that order. Send relevant screenshots and transaction references to support, but never disclose card CVV, passwords or wallet secrets to a third party.
What to save before you apply
Keep registration time, code confirmation, KYC approval date, the membership price and offer shown at checkout, relevant card statements and support reference. Decide whether the card works for you without counting an unconfirmed reward. This keeps a publisher’s large commission headline from becoming the basis for your own card choice.

- Campaign bonus (ended September 30, 2026): $20 for you once you spend $100 on eligible Travel, Dining or Shopping purchases, net of refunds. You had to register through a referral link and complete identity verification before the campaign ended on September 30, 2026.
- What we get as the referrer: cash on a spend ladder of up to $250 per referred user, $100 or $1,000 more if you buy Premium or Private, and, during the campaign that ended September 30, 2026, $20 per qualified friend plus $50 for every two.

A KAST referral code is not a signup bonus. Nothing pays out when the account is created. Under the program KAST published in May 2026, the referred person has 45 days from their KYC approval to reach card-spend milestones, rewards land in a Cash Rewards balance as each milestone is hit, and a further 14-day time lock runs before they can be redeemed. Aggregate spend counts, so it does not need to happen in one transaction.
So the code is worth entering, but it should never be the reason you pick the card. Decide on fees and cashback first (see KAST fees and conversion rate and KAST cashback by tier), then add the code.
Where a KAST referral code is entered, and when
There are two accepted routes, and this is the part that trips people up. KAST's help centre (How Does the KAST Referral Program Work?, updated 2026-09-24) says that when a friend signs up using the referral link, the referral is tracked automatically and they are not asked for a code. Without the link, the sign-up flow prompts for a referral code: enter it and tap Confirm, or tap "Do it later".
That later route matters. Most crypto card programs are strictly signup-only, so people who registered without a code assume they have lost the reward. On KAST, a new account that skipped the step can still add the code under Profile, then Account, then Referred by, then + Add Code. KAST's help centre adds one condition: the code must be added before the qualifying spend milestone is reached. Two things are not flexible. First, the Affiliate and Referral Program Terms (effective 2026-05-08) require the referred person to be a new user who has not previously registered an account. Second, the August–September 2026 campaign (now ended) required registering through a referral link during the campaign period, so adding a code later did not necessarily qualify for the $20 campaign reward.

What the referrer and the new user each earn
KAST's standing referral structure pays the referrer on a spend ladder as the referred friend uses their card, capped at 250 US dollars per referred user, with no stated limit on how many people you refer. The two official descriptions of that ladder do not match. KAST's May 2026 blog lists 20 US dollars at 100 US dollars of spend, then 30 at a further 500, 50 at a further 1,000, and 150 at a further 5,000. KAST's help-centre article How Does the KAST Referral Program Work?, updated 2026-09-24, lists 50 US dollars at 600 US dollars of cumulative spend, 50 at 1,600 and 150 at 6,600, and says a referral counts once the friend reaches the 600 US dollar milestone. Check the Refer screen in the KAST app for the ladder that applies to you.
What was actually paid on our account: the site owner's KAST account (a Japan resident) received a 20 US dollar referral reward on September 25, 2026 when a referred friend passed 100 US dollars of card spend, and a 30 US dollar reward on September 26, 2026 when a friend passed 600 US dollars (confirmed by KAST's notification emails). 30 dollars at 600 matches the May 2026 blog ladder, not the help centre's 50 dollars at 600. The emails do not say whether both rewards came from the same friend.
Membership purchases stack on top: an extra 100 US dollars if the referred friend buys Premium, an extra 1,000 US dollars if they buy Private. The new user gets something different: KAST's help centre (updated 2026-09-24) says a friend who signs up with the link receives 10% off their first membership subscription, which is 100 US dollars off Premium or 1,000 US dollars off Private. The May 2026 blog adds task bonuses the new user can activate to earn cash on spend milestones. If a qualifying purchase is later refunded or reversed, KAST can claw the related reward back.

Treat every figure above as the published headline, not a promise. KAST states plainly that reward amounts and availability vary by country and eligibility, and the program terms let the company amend rewards, caps and country classifications at its discretion.
The August–September 2026 campaign ended on September 30, 2026
KAST's official campaign page ran a time-limited referral campaign from August 14 until September 30, 2026. It was still listed as active on KAST's promotions page when checked on 2026-09-26 and is listed under expired promotions as of 2026-10-01. Its structure was not the standing ladder: the campaign paid 20 US dollars to the referrer and 20 to the referred friend per qualified referral, plus a 50 US dollar bonus for each completed pair of two qualified friends. A friend qualified after 100 US dollars of eligible Travel, Dining or Shopping spend, net of refunds.
Qualification was narrower than the standing program. Both people had to complete identity verification before the campaign ended, the referred friend had to register through a unique referral link during the campaign period, and the qualifying 100 US dollars of spend had to fall in eligible Travel, Dining or Shopping categories, net of refunds. Rewards were processed in two windows rather than continuously.
The two clocks: 45 days and 14 days
Almost every complaint about missing KAST referral rewards comes down to one of two timers, and they run in sequence rather than together.
The first is the eligibility window. The program terms give the referred person a 45-day window starting from the date their identity verification is approved to generate qualifying spend. Spend after that window does not count toward the ladder, which is why a friend who verifies early and orders a physical card late can run out of runway before the card arrives.
The second is the redemption lock. Payouts are credited to the Cash Rewards balance once a milestone is met, but a 14-day time lock applies before those rewards become redeemable. A balance that shows but cannot be withdrawn is the expected behaviour during that period, not a fault.
Tier reality check before you chase the membership bonus
The largest referral numbers are attached to paid memberships, so it is worth stating what those memberships cost. On KAST's membership page, re-checked on 2026-10-01, Standard is free with 1.5% cashback, Premium is 1,000 US dollars a year with 2% cashback plus 1% in KAST Points on all spend, and Private is 10,000 US dollars a year with 3% cashback plus 2% in Points. Cashback is capped by monthly spend: the first 2,000 US dollars on Standard, 10,000 on Premium and 40,000 on Private, per KAST's fees and conditions page (updated 2026-09-01).
Run that arithmetic before recommending Private to a friend for a 1,000 US dollar referral bonus. The friend is paying 10,000 US dollars a year for a 1 percentage point cashback uplift over Standard, which needs very large monthly spend to justify. KAST Points are a separate reward from USD cashback and are not cash. KAST's points article (updated 2026-09-10) says it is no longer planning a standard token launch for points; today they can be redeemed for membership (25,000 points for Premium, 250,000 for Private).
Under both official versions of the ladder, that requires the referred friend to spend 6,600 US dollars on the card inside 45 days of KYC approval.

If the referral reward never shows up
Work through the causes in this order rather than contacting support first. Most cases resolve at step one or two.
- Attribution: confirm the friend actually registered through the link, or that the code was recorded on their account. A code can be added later (Profile, Account, Referred by, + Add Code) only before the friend reaches the qualifying spend milestone; after that it cannot be retro-fitted.
- New-user rule: the terms exclude anyone who previously registered a KAST account, including a closed or abandoned one.
- Window: check the friend's KYC approval date and count 45 days forward. Spend outside that window does not qualify.
- Eligible spend: refunds are netted off, and the 2026-08-14 to 2026-09-30 campaign restricted qualifying spend to travel, dining and shopping categories.
- Time lock: a credited but non-redeemable balance is normal for 14 days.
- Country: KAST states amounts and availability vary by country, and the terms exclude jurisdictions where access is restricted.
- Integrity checks: KAST disqualifies self-referrals, duplicate accounts and same-device referrals, and this can suspend the account.
Records to keep on both sides
